Prep & Aftercare
Before your appointment
Make sure you eat a good meal to maintain your blood sugar levels and give you enough energy for your session
Stay hydrated
Be well-rested, make sure you’ve had a good night sleep the night before
Bring some sugary snacks with you, whether thats a packet of Harribos or a classic coke
Avoid alcohol or blood thinning medications at lest 24 hours before your appointment
Wear comfortable clothing, especially if your in the chair for a long time!
After your appointment
Clean regularly: Clean your tattoo 2-3 times a day, or as needed, to remove any buildup or debris.
Moisturise regularly: Apply a thin layer of tattoo balm 2-3 times a day, or whenever the tattoo feels dry (you can buy this in the shop)
Avoid sun exposure: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least a few weeks, and always use factor 50 after it's healed to prevent fading
Avoid picking or scratching: Let any scabs or flakes fall off naturally. Picking the scabs could cause the ink to fall out resulting in a patchy tattoo
Avoid soaking your tattoo (baths or swimming) during the healing process
